Humility



وَ عِبَادُ  الرَّحۡمٰنِ الَّذِیۡنَ  یَمۡشُوۡنَ عَلَی الۡاَرۡضِ ہَوۡنًا وَّ اِذَا خَاطَبَہُمُ الۡجٰہِلُوۡنَ  قَالُوۡا سَلٰمًا.وَ الَّذِیۡنَ یَبِیۡتُوۡنَ لِرَبِّہِمۡ سُجَّدًا وَّ قِیَامًا. وَ الَّذِیۡنَ یَقُوۡلُوۡنَ رَبَّنَا اصۡرِفۡ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَہَنَّمَ ٭ۖ اِنَّ عَذَابَہَا کَانَ غَرَامًا.(25: 63-65
سُوۡرَةُ الفُرقان آیات 63 تا 65

And the servants of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth. And when people overcome with frenzy converse with them, they say: “Peace.” And [they are those] who spend their nights before their Lord prostrating and standing. And [are ones] who keep praying: “Our Lord! Protect us from the punishment of Hell.” Indeed, its punishment is ever-clinging. (25:63-65)

Hadith of the Day

Knowledge of Virtue and Vice


عن أبيه عن النَّوَّاسِ بن سِمْعَانَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قال سَأَلْتُ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صَلَّي اللّٰہُ عَلَیۡہِ وَسَلَّمَ عن الْبِرِّ وَالْإِثْمِ فقال الْبِرُّ حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ وَالْإِثْمُ ما حَاكَ في صَدْرِكَ وَكَرِهْتَ أَنْ يَطَّلِعَ عليه الناس


Al-Nawwas ibn Sim‘an al-Ansari (rta) said: “I asked God’s Messenger (sws) about virtue and vice. He replied: “Virtue is good conduct and vice is what pinches your heart and you would not like people to know about it.”

Bible Verse of the Day

Showing off Generosity

Take care not to do your good works before men, to be seen by them; or you will have no reward from your Father[2]in heaven. When then you give money to the poor, do not make a noise about it, as the false-hearted men do in the Synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly, I say to you, They have their reward. (Matthew, 6:1-2)
